It all started with the dentist office. First, the dentist takes impressions of your teeth and send them to Align Technology to be scanned into 3D models. These 3D images are used to design and customized individual treatment plan to reach straighter teeth. Once confirmed by the dentist, Align Technology will custom make your series of clear aligners and send them back to the dentist. Your dentist will check if these clear aligners fit snugly over your teeth. Minor modification of your teeth such as adding white colour attachments or mild stripping of teeth may be required during the treatment process to reach the goal. White colour attachments are frequently used to allow these clear aligners to get a better grip and control of the tooth movement. Mild stripping of the enamel are used to relieve crowding and create spaces of the teeth to move.
