A little about us: Mokoia Road Dental Centre was first started by Dr. Tom Fitzsimons in January 1970. Known very well among the locals in Birkenhead and Northcote, “We Cater for Cowards” is our motto. Our Birkenhead family oriented dental practice is conveniently located in the south part of North Shore, Auckland. We are easily accessible by people from Auckland City CBD and North Shore City.
At present, we have Dr. Ming Wei Goh (Principle Dentist) , Dr. Priscilla Fung (Associate Dentist) and Dr. Jenny To (Associate Dentist) in our modern and fully computerized dental practice. They all share the same tradition of the practice: Providing Gentle, Caring and High Quality Dentistry for the North Shore and Auckland City residents. People loves us as their north shore dentist because we genuinely care for them (see our testimonials). Looking after your dental needs with the latest techniques and modern equipment is our passion!
Ming Wei has worked in both Australia and Auckland after completion of his Bachelor degree in Dentistry at the University of Otago in 2002. As a passionate north shore dentist, Ming Wei is particularly good in cosmetic dental work. He also has a special interest in providing painless root canal treatment with the latest equipment. Ming Wei prides himself in keeping up to date with the latest technologies and developments in the field of dentistry by frequently attending International dental meetings and seminars. He is an active Auckland dentist and is a member of New Zealand Dental Association, Auckland Dental Association, New Zealand Institute of Minimal Intervention Dentistry , New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Fellow of International College of Continuing Dental Education (Orthodontics in General Practice). He is also a member of the International Association of Orthodontists and Implantologists. Dr. Goh received his Master of Science (Orthodontics) from International Medical College in Germany. He was also the recipient of the 2018 DCS Ruth Erwig Award for his thesis in Orthodontics where he had the opportunity to present his research in the 2018 IMC Alumni Congress (allied with German Surgical Foundation) in Munster, Germany.
Outside dentistry, he is a passionate photographer. He has special interest in wedding photography. He also loves traveling with his wife Priscilla and their two boys.
Priscilla is also a graduate from University of Otago in 2002. As a resident of North Shore for more than 25 years, Priscilla has dedicated herself ever since graduation servicing the North Shore Community. She is a dedicated north shore dentist with special interest in gum health. Priscilla has a conservative treatment philosophy that emphasizes patient comfort and long term welfare. Priscilla is also an active member of New Zealand Dental Association and Auckland Dental Association.
Outside dentistry, Priscilla enjoys spending time with Ming Wei and the boys. Together, they pursue a happy and fulfilling life involving their community and church.
Dr. Jenny To graduated from the University of Otago in year 2002. She then went on to work for the Defence Force for 2 years. She has been a north shore dentist ever since she return to Auckland in 2005. Jenny enjoys practising general dentistry and provides a wide range of services. She is also the accredited Invisalign (invisible clear aligner) provider. She believes in respecting and caring for her patients which is well balanced with her gentle, compassionate nature and a strong drive in pursuing clinical excellence.
Dr Jenny To is an active member of New Zealand Dental Association and Auckland Dental Association. She enjoys attending International dental conferences to keep herself up to date with the latest treatment options. She is a strong believer in providing the best ethical dental care for her patients, which is what her patients love her for. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and the company of her close family. She speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Lets face it, a visit to the dentist for some, can be quite a mission. We totally understand. At Mokoia Road Dental Centre, we will try our best to make the visit as easy as possible. Our dentists and nurses enjoy looking after our patients. We simply love what we do.
